Sharon, passed away suddenly from complications due to Covid-19 on January 14, 2022 when she was just 62 years old.
Sharon dedicated much of her life to animal rescue with multiple organizations. For the last several years, she has been primarily been working with Needy Paws Rescue of St Louis, Missouri. She was an active board member and involved in the entire fostering and mentoring process. She worked tirelessly to ensure fosters were placed in good homes that matched their needs and often became good friends with many of those same families. Sharon’s love of helping others began when she became active in her local and national chapters of Nar-Anon, and she continued to have many close relationships with people she met along that journey.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She departed far too soon.
In lieu of flowers, we ask you to please make donations of any size to Needy Paws Rescue in St Louis, Missouri. Anyone who knew Sharon understood that she had a special place in her heart for her fur-babies and would like to make sure that they are continued to be taken care of now and forever.
On June 20, 2020. our dear friend Ellen Eccher, volunteer and generous donor passed away after a battle with cancer. She was a very busy individual, involved in organizing reunions and alumni events with numerous friends. After retiring as an IRS Agent, she traveled extensively, danced as a member of three swing dance clubs, and was a very passionate volunteer with Needy Paws Rescue. She was the rescue dog’s best protector and fostered many dogs helping them find forever families. Ellen helped Needy Paws continue it's mission by providing monetary donations to cover medical expenses for some of our rescue dogs. In the end, she showed us her true compassion and character by providing Needy Paws Rescue a donation to help take care of dogs who need a place to stay while waiting for a home, always thinking of saving dogs to the end. We miss her smile and giving spirit and she will always be remembered by the many dogs whose lives she touched. Love you Ellen!
