Oh Baxter. He is a little gentleman. This little guy is great with everyone he meets. Dog, cat and kid friendly (although probably not kids under 7 as loud noises and fast movements can scare him). He can be a bit shy at first, but warms up quickly. Especially if you give him his favorite thing-belly rubs. Once you start he will beg for more.

Baxter loves to run in the back yard, and ideally would go to a home with a secure fenced in yard that is small dog proof. He’s good at squeezing through small spaces and doesn’t like to potty when on his leash.

Baxter loves a good cuddle session on the couch. He is crate trained, but is such a good boy he probably doesn’t really need one.

He was found as a stray with another small dog in the big St Louis snow storm. He seems like he would be happy with another dog in the home, or by himself with someone home often to watch daytime tv with.

Baxter Burgundy’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
