MEET CHUNKY MONKEY
This sweet boy is a labrador retriever mix and about 50 lbs. He is 7 months old, neutered, microchipped and fully vetted.
He and his family were dumped in a field and the farmer was threatening to shoot them all. Thankfully a kind person contacted Act Now Rescue and we were able to bring them all to safety.
Chunky Monkey was very skinny. Full of fleas, ticks and worms. He was semi-feral and very skittish around me.
FAST forward to now. With a lot of medicines, good food and love he became one of the sweetest boys. He loves to sit on my lap.....all 50 lbs of him for snuggles!!
Chunky Monkey does great with all my dogs. He has a lot of energy but a few runs around the yard and he's ready to hang out on the couch.

Chunky Monkey's adoption includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
