Bosco's story is very common in rescue; he was purchased from a breeder by a young lady as her first dog. She spoiled him for a while because of course he was a cute puppy, but the newness wore off and she got busy. Cockapoos are an energetic breed and when ignored, Bosco began to misbehave to get attention by getting into things he shouldn't and was rewarded for his antics. Naturally this escalated as she had no clue how to properly work through these behaviors so instead of going to a trainer, she surrendered him.

Needy Paws saw that cute puppy still in this teenaged dog eyes and got the help he needed with a board and train program. His foster family is following the program and he is starting to be less anxious and behaving nicely for them. He is house broken, crate trained, but is not a fan, knows basic commands, and is dog friendly.

Bosco will do best in a home without children as he still may want to steal items and chew them up at the beginning until he settles in. He will also do best with a fenced yard, but this is not a deal breaker as he walks and potties on leash.

He needs a family that understands his energy needs and will continue his training. Someone who is dedicated to him as he is a very sweet and playful companion. Not super cuddly, but more independent, and loves a good butt rub now and then. He is a lover and wants his people close!

Bosco’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
