** CHILDREN, CATS AND SMALL DOGS NOT A GOOD FIT FOR VEGAS **
** Vegas would do well in a home with another dog that can match his exuberant playstyle.
Vegas is a 60 lb, 1-1/2 yr old, lab mix weighing and he loves to work! Vegas is very handler focused, smart, and driven, so he would flourish with an experienced owner who can give him the structure and work he craves. He came up through the Puppies for Parole program so he knows his commands!
When excited, encounters other dogs or people nearby on leash, he will respond to redirection with a simple command like "sit" and then enthusiastically offer other skills he wasn't even asked for, like "sit pretty" or "down." His focus is next level, and he has a high drive for praise and food, including kibble. He would probably both enjoy and excel at the challenge of a dog sport.
Vegas loves to begin and end every day with belly rubs, and loves a good couch nap with his person. He sleeps peacefully in his kennel while Mom is away (she has a camera so she can check on him) but he's only used to regularly being in his kennel for about 4 hours at a time. With plenty of enrichment in his routine, he should not have any issues being crated for a full workday.

Our $275 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
