Please meet Miss Effie…an adorable and precious 5 year old Chihuahua mix, weighing 12 pounds. She came to us from a rural shelter in Missouri after she was found abandoned outside in a large cage in 100+ degree temperatures. Effie is an extremely lovable, sweet, snuggly, and playful little girl.
She absolutely LOVES LOVES LOVES playing with her tennis ball!!! Effie
requires a secure fenced yard
as she does not walk well on a leash. She would be happiest in a home with another small playful dog for companionship, or with responsible and well-behaved children (10 years old or up) who will throw her tennis ball for her, and also run and play with her often. Effie is healthy, current on her immunizations, heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, and she has recently had her teeth cleaned.

Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
Effie’s adoption fee is $200.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
