Hendrix is a 1.5 year old, 50 pound Rottweiler mix who is searching for a new start.  Hendrix is a very happy-go-lucky dog who has been friendly to all people and pups. 

Hendrix has the perfect amount of playful energy without being overly obnoxious.  Playtime is fun but when you say it's all done, he settles very quickly and loves to snuggle. Hendrix really likes to get new toys and carries them around proudly showing them off to everyone.  When he wants to chew, he wanders off to find something that belongs to him and has not disturbed anyone else's belongings.  He would love another doggie friend to play with, but he would also make a good solo dog with someone who will give him the attention he loves.
 
Hendrix is housetrained, is quiet in his crate, and is working on basic training commands.  He is catching on very quickly.  He walks nicely on a leash with a harness and wants to "check in" on his walking companion by tagging their hand with his nose periodically.  He is very loyal and has attached quickly to his foster family.  He doesn't bark much, even around other very noise dogs.
 
Hendrix has never met a cat, but he is quite interested in chasing squirrels.  He’s pretty easy-going, so a confident cat who is used to living with canines may be ok.  It was reported by his rescuer that he is able  to "climb" a 4-6ft chain link fence.  He escaped to go and visit his doggie friends in the next pen but then just hangs out around the yard after.  He is not a flight risk.  Hendrix simply wants to spend time with his people or other dogs, so alternative methods of containment and daily exercise will be just fine for him.

Hendrix’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
