Hasting (goes by Duke) is a 2.5 year old, 85lb Mastiff/lab/hound/shep mix. He has big beautiful golden eyes and a big tongue that hangs out of his mouth sometimes. He is absolutely gorgeous and so very soft after his bath. He is very sweet and gentle despite his big size. He is an owner surrender. His previous owner was not able to give him the activity that a dog of his size/breed requires. Hasting is good with kids and helped his previous mom babysit. We are told he would allow the kiddo to crawl all over him with no objection. He is also dog friendly and used to attend doggie day care at Kennelwood. However, he is not such a good boy when meeting other dogs while on the leash. He is obsessed with bones and chews on them all day, he does not growl if you try to take them but he also loves them so much that he never lets them go. In his previous home he slept in bed with his mom. He does not enjoy being crated, or locked in a room as he has spent his life with free roam of the house when alone, but he will go in the crate if treats are involved.  J

Hasting would make a great addition to any family that has a big fenced yard and time to exercise him.

Hasting’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
