Meet Eli! This sweet boy is 18 months old and loves to snuggle, give kisses, and play, play, play! He weighs about 10 lbs. We aren't sure what breed he is, but he looks like he could have some Papillon ancestry with his "butterfly" ears.

 

Eli loves his toys, especially stuffed animals, and would like to have a family who will play fetch and tug-o-war with him. He still has puppy energy and has a "play hard, sleep hard" philosophy. His favorite nap spots are the back of the couch, someone's lap, or his Ninja Turtle blanket. 

 

Eli is super smart and potty trained. He prefers to sleep in bed with his humans at night -- as previously mentioned, this boy loves to snuggle! He loves other dogs and would enjoy another small or medium-sized dog to play with. He is still working on some behaviors like jumping on people, so he would benefit from going to a training class with his new family. He also has a hard time being left alone (he will bark and cry), so his new family should plan to work with him to reduce his separation anxiety. He would not be the best fit for someone who would need to leave him alone for the majority of the day. Smaller dogs can live well into their teens, so please keep that in mind when planning for a future with Eli.
