Hi! My name is Elijah, and I'm a 1 year old, happy-go-lucky black and tan Coonhound/ Beagle mix (they think!). My foster Mom tells me I'm a shy but sweet, goofy, eager to please boy that loves to PLAY!
I also love playing with toys and chewing on nylabones, but I REALLY love running through the back yard with my 4-legged foster siblings. I'm a young man with energy to burn and need a back yard in my forever home or a very active person that likes to walk or hike on a daily basis. And I can jump REALLY high so a 6 foot fence would be ideal. I may accidentally knock down little humans, but I don't mean to and I'm learning to take it down a notch when I come inside.
Did I mention that I love to play!?! But what I love most is SNUGGLING (after we've gotten to know each other of course!)! And I only weigh 50lbs... perfect snuggling weight! My foster Mom says I've been doing great transitioning to an indoor environment... I don't have any accidents in the house and I don't mind being kenneled at night.
I would love to become the newest member of a family that will include me in their activities. If you like snuggling after going on new adventures together, fill out an application and my foster Mom will contact you so we can meet!
If you are interested in meeting Elijah, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
Elijah’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
