Ellie May is a beautiful, red tick (American English) coonhound.  Please read up on the breed before considering adopting.  Ellie May is typical of her breed description:   Sweet, social but high energy and stubborn.  Ellie May is doing well on house breaking and does very well in her crate.   She is still very puppyish as she seems to have no boundaries but she is learning and is trainable. She will need some patience but she will be a great dog once she settles and understands.   She’s great with the two dogs in her foster home. However they would prefer she was not so persistent with playing.   She would do wonderful in a home with another dog with the same level of play.   Otherwise she would require daily exercise as she believes at this point everything is a toy to run off with...shoes, rugs, anything on a dresser....   Ellie May is guessed to be 2-3 years old and approximately 40-45 lbs.  She would make a great addition to an active home.

Ellie May ’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
