Meet Hera! The sweetest guard dog around. She is a low energy couch potato who loves to lay around in the AC and be near her human. She was recently returned to Needy Paws after a few incidents of snapping at people, so her ideal forever family would have a quiet home with no small children.  Hera has the cutest kissing spot on the top of her head. She is also picky about which dogs she wants to be friends with.

She likes her personal space, but when she is feeling up for it, she gives the sweetest snuggles. She loves to go on walks and does great on a leash. People always compliment her good looks and calm demeanor! Hera is crate trained, although being locked up brings back some bad memories for her, so she would prefer to be left out. She has excellent house manners and has never had an accident, but she will sometimes sneak up on the bed to sleep on the cozy pillows while her foster mom is at work.

She is very smart and knows all the basic commands - if you see her out, be sure to ask for a high five! She has a low prey drive, and she loves to ride in cars. She would be an excellent companion for the right family!

Hera ’s adoption fee is $100.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
