I'm Sage, a happy, playful energetic male, approx 3-5 yr old, Jack Russell Chi Mix weighing about 14 lb.

~ My owner died and the family didn't want me & my 8 siblings. They threw us outside where rescue found us. I have numerous scars and scabs on my head, along with torn ear tips from fighting for food.

~ I prefer female dogs my size. I might like a male dog with proper introduction.

~ I need a fenced yard to run around in. My foster mom also calls me a door darter because I run right for the door when you open it!

~ I'm a Lap Dog, and get attached to my people.

~ I bark when I hear noises and get excited -- NO apartments or condos.

~ When I play with you, I get excited and can be mouthy, so no kids under 10 yrs old.

~ I met a cat at the vet's office that actually hit me in the face and I was nonreactive.

~ I do not like being in a crate so I sleep in a chair with blanket at night.

~ I usually potty outside, however, I still mark occasionally in the house so my foster mom has me wear a belly band which I don't mind at all.

~ I walk on a leash, but still need fenced yard to play in.

I also have a Paw Print on my back that makes me feel Special!

Sage ’s adoption fee is $100.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
