About Holly | |
|
|
Holly is an approximately 2 year old Cocker Spaniel. She weighs 24 lbs. (she's a little overweight for her frame) S
he's very timid with people, and seems much more comfortable around other dogs.
She has been calm and disinterested in our cat, but very interested in being with our dog, even trying to cuddle up to her.
She's especially interested in hanging out with, and trying to find the other Cocker Spaniel in the mirror.
She's also much more comfortable outside than inside - I suspect before she was rescued, she'd never seen the inside of a house. She's exploring and beginning to enjoy the comforts of a home. She's adapting well to her crate, and runs to it when she feels scared.
We've had to carry her out of the house and back in, but once she's out, she's eager to move.
She is uncomfortable on a leash and on a chain. However, she did figure out to go back the way she came when she wrapped the chain around an object, and enjoyed sniffing around & chasing birds.
She would do well in a house with another, similar-sized dog. Loud noises and sudden movements send her running, so a house with older kids or just adults would be best. Her new family would need to be patient with her as she learns to walk on a leash. For her comfort, a fenced-in yard would be a huge plus.
